Advanced Investing Isn't Just for Einstein-Like Brains

I hate to even use the term "advanced" when it comes to managing an investment portfolio. The concepts I'll introduce in this section do not require a great amount of cranial activity. Rather they simply require a bit more attention to detail and a moderate increase in the amount of time you need to spend monitoring your portfolio.

These concepts may or may not increase your returns, but they will substantially increase your understanding of and comfort level with your investing strategy -- and that would bring a smile even to Dr. Einstein.

This section focuses on risk management, explains standard deviation so that even a GEICO caveman could understand it, and describes the benefits of non-correlating asset classes
